Install instructions

Download and extract War_Eagles_050_beta.7z to a folder on your system.

If you want a desktop icon, right-click either War Eagles 050 beta.console.exe or War Eagles 050 beta.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut). Moving files out of the game folder may cause the game not to play.

To play, double-click or Run either War Eagles 050 beta.console.exe or War Eagles 050 beta.exe (or your shortcut).

  •  War Eagles 050 beta.exe will just play the game.
  • War Eagles 050 beta.console.exe will open both a window for the game, and a console window that will expose the game engine logs.  This is pure gold for my playtesting, if you screenshot them and send them (see the enclosed README);  but not at all necessary to play the game.

IMPORTANT: Windows Defender and other antivirus apps often flag exe's as malware.  I virus-checked these files prior to uploading and they were clean, but if you feel any doubts, feel free to run them yourself.  If nothing else, I have no control over Itch storage.
